I put this information together for you to evaluate for a couple of reasons; first, there is a common misunderstanding on how Amsoil Dealers make money and second there is a misconception that your only option as an Amsoil Dealer is to purchase the products at “dealer cost” and resell the product at retail and although this is an option you will incorporate into your retail business if you own one, but not something we will focus on. I can also demonstrate how you can make a significantly more by wholesaling while at the same time not being responsible for a huge inventory.
There is no hidden agenda here this is simply an example of how income from commission is generated from being an Amsoil Dealer. This particular example is best suited for individuals that already own a business and provide some type of service that involves lubrication products. You could be servicing automobiles, light-duty trucks. lawn mowing equipment or even hydraulic and compressor service it doesn’t really matter as long as you make an income selling some type of oil.
Amsoil’s typical retail profit margins on their products range anywhere between 25-35% depending on the product, however we are not going to discuss profit margins on retailing Amsoil at this time. Your main income source will come from commissions generated through the commission credits you earn in a given month. The two main points to understand is; what are commission credits and where do they come from.
Understanding Commission Credits:
Every Amsoil product you either buy for your business or wholesale to another company or individual has a value assigned to it for which you are paid a commission and the value Amsoil assigns to each product is called a commission credit. This is a straight forward easy to understand system that is very attainable, but can become a very big part of your business for years to come. Imagine for a minute as you get closer to retiring, but still continue to earn commissions even though you shut down or sold your primary business. Here is a quick look at Amsoil’s commission schedule:

Where Do Commissions Credits Come From:
Commission credits come from every single product that goes through your Amsoil dealership, whether its through your own personal account or one you have set up. As an Amsoil Dealer and wholesaler of the product you have the ability to set up retail and commercial businesses and also personal individuals, which Amsoil refers to as Preferred Customers. All the volume from all your accounts add into your commission credits.
There are numerous small to medium commercial businesses that employ an on staff mechanic who performs routine preventative maintenance including oil changes. These types of companies can save a significant amount of money by using Amsoil in their equipment and you can benefit from this by becoming their wholesale supplier of Amsoil. That’s correct I said wholesale supplier as you do not want to retail Amsoil to someone who qualifies as a commercial account.
Once you register other companies to purchase Amsoil products wholesale these companies deal directly with Amsoil. Amsoil Inc. will take care of filling their orders, shipping the product and all the billing while you receive the commissions. These accounts are yours for life as long as you keep your Amsoil dealership active, which amounts to $30.00/year.
How To Get Started:
Although anyone can become an Amsoil Dealer and I will be more than happy to schedule a meeting with anyone who is interested whether you own a business or not. Right now however I am looking for individuals that are owners of a business that perform any type of service that involves lubrication products. This can be anything from cars, motorcycles or even lawnmowers and two-cycle equipment. As long you have a retail establishment with public access you will qualify for this program of becoming a wholesale distributor of Amsoil Synthetic Lubricants.
I will be assisting you in getting your first 10-12 accounts so you can start generating commissions as fast as possible. No promises are being made here, this is a joint effort and I do have certain requirements that I need in order for all this to fall into place. Your main job initially is to become as familiar with the entire Amsoil line of products especially the ones you will primarily be working with in your business.
When I start working with new Amsoil dealers and start introducing the features and benefits of our products it is imperative I have your personal endorsement with your contacts. Here is a short list of what I require before I meet with any business owner you are recommending Amsoil to.
- You must install Amsoil in all your personal equipment bumper to bumper
- You will feature Amsoil as the primary lubricants to be used in all your service work
- You will throughly test a select few Amsoil products so you can offer your full endorsement to all your potential contacts
- After becoming familiar with the product line you will accompany me on your first few potential accounts so you understand the administrative duties
Putting together your own Amsoil wholesale distribution business takes time, but once you reach the 3,000 commission credit level and you are making the maximum 23% you will see it is worth the effort. Look at it this way even if your own business did enough volume to get to the 3,000 commission credit level not only will you make your 25-35% profit margins when you either sell or service your customers you will also earn a $690.00 commission check directly from Amsoil for the volume of product you ordered, (3000 cc’s x .23%=$690.00).
Ask yourself this question; will the oil company you are previously working with allow you to earn a 23% commission if you set up an account for them? I’m guessing it is highly doubtful. The Amsoil wholesale business opportunity has many advantages that every business owners needs to evaluate. You can be confident you will be endorsing and recommending the best synthetic lubricants on the market and once you see the loyalty Amsoil products achieve you will be glad you got involved with this business.
